With both Pac and AiAi scheduled for January, I figured it was originally supposed to be Pac+AiAi then LC2+IDW, but they swapped AiAi and LC2 in case they needed time to make further changes for LC3. I noticed the LC2 results are listed after the Pac results in-game though, so maybe January was originally planned as LC2>Pac>AiAi, and I guess February likely would've been either LC3>IDW or IDW>LC3, the latter of which would line up as you said while the former would've matched the pattern of starting months with LCs and ending with festivals.
