story sucked because there was no story and no characters and nothing matters (stated by the devs to the player's face)
game sucks because of every song needing to loop infinitely so every battle is basically the same thing, and wayyyy too many songs for any one of them to be any good
the place those two intersect sucks because why do the fights if nothing fucking matters, why even play the game. just insulting, honestly

First game in a long while that I bought on release, because I really loved first game despite it's flaws, and yeah, it's dogshit
First game had these really cathartic moments with reconciliation and euthanasia rollercoaster, nothing like that in the sequel
