I know this is something erroneously said about many things but I feel like animal crossing lost a bit of its soul in new horizons. Before it had a nice calm curious and isolated feeling. Now it is all bright and cartoony. It is hard to describe but the only place I feel like keeps the old feeling is inside the Museum. I swear they have done this to all their games. Pikmin 4 completely killed the feeling of it with the giant colorful house and other goofy things. It feels like they want everything to be a mass marketable mascot like Mario.
