There is no such thing as "physical media", that disc contains the same exact data when dumped.
>>
I'd sell all of my old games if they were worth anything but its not worth the hassle as PS3 and 360 games are not worth anything. So I will just keep them all 300 or so of them in a big box in the attic.

At that point, we're questioning whether concepts "exist" or not. Do they need to be thought of to exist? If the concept of something definitely real (light, for example) does not require a conscious mind to think of it, does it exist? If it does, then every concept has always existed and will always exist. If not, then you could argue that the concept of concepts is ontologically flawed, since they are simply an extension of thought or perception, and merely a word, rather than a real thing.

If there is one thing that can last forever, even past the ability for anybody to actually read it, it's information. A properly backed up digital game is the longest lasting thing we can have but you want to put things on a shitty plastic disc and have it locked down instead.

Heat death of the universe will necessarily lock the universe with (now unreadable) information locked within it, shut up.

I loved buying jp ps3 games because besides a large colour manual even in the normal release version there were also still goodies packed with it like postcards, maps and such. Sometimes you still got stuff like this with AA ps4 games but otherwise gaming degenerated so much in the last 15 years that I don't even bother anymore unless it's an indie game made with love like Signalis
