>>732293058The other arcs, particularly Cold Steel, benefit a lot from being entirely out nowadays so you don't have to wait literal years between games just to get 95% filler and sequelbait. I don't think I could have kept interest in CS if I had to wait years between the games because so little happens in each one. Calvard is the first time I followed all of the games as they released and it honestly kinda made me hate the series. It does everything it possibly can to waste your time and whenever it finally actually does something interesting it ends up just being bait for a sequel and then that sequel comes out and it doesn't actually answer any of the things they set up and they just sequelbait you again. I'm so tired of it. When Calvard is finished I'm never playing another one of these games until the entire series is completely over. Playing Calvard just killed my fucking patience for this series.
This series ended with Reverie anyway.
It's great until Daybreak 2.Horizon is fantastic too.

Calvard had a strong start but I think they really cut down scope for 2 and kai. maybe pandemic was an issue, and NISA was far behind on localization so falcom wasn't making western money on their newest games.They can still stick the landing, especially if Kai 2 gets more time in the oven
