I just finished the fish boss. This game is pretty bad. I guess the wacky characters are cool and the architecture is nice, but it feels like something cobbled together by a few Russians in a basement

If they remake it in the future I hope they focus a lot more on that, I bet Capcom regrets killing them off so early as they're the main if not even sole reason for the game's success, the European-Gothic theme is by far the most kino and soulful part of the game.

I get that Heisenberg tried to kill you at the beginning, so Ethan should be wary, plus he's still a Lord, but the odds are crazy against Ethan at that point. The game should've given you the choice to side with him, and actually change the last quarter of the game. My idea is basically:>Chris is salty that you side with the psycho metal moldman, so he never tells you Mia is alive and instructs his squad to kill you both>Heisenberg kills Chris' squad in a playable segment (actually giving them screentime and importance as opposed to the base game) while you fight and kill Chris as Ethan (suspend your disbelief that Ethan could kill Chris)>Chris tells you the truth before dying>Ethan gets heart snatched after the fight while Miranda goes to war against Heisenberg and his minions (replaces Chris' playable segment)>BSAA still shows up, Ethan still gets saved by Duke and kills Miranda, Heisenberg reveals the truth to Ethan, Ethan uses the bomb Heisenberg took off Chris and manually detonates it destroying the village>Heisenberg survives and jacks the helicopter to help them escape, as a gift to Ethan for trusting him>After dropping Mia and Rose off and a timeskip, Heisenberg eventually ends up returning to and rebuilding the village>Chris's funeral scene has several RE characters attend (Jill, Claire, Rebecca, Leon, Sheva, etc.) where they plan to hunt down Heisenberg and get answers>Rose's scene at Ethan's grave is mostly the same, albeit the agent isn't present as she's thought to be dead (along with Mia) by Chris' orgIt's just crazy to me that RE7 has a choice that affects the ending, and all it changes is that Zoe and Mia either die or don't, but RE8 doesn't when it would've made more sense, and had a massive amount of potential for a sick alternate ending. Oh well, maybe RE9 will do something like that.
