Real PS2 numbers were passed a long time ago. The 155M and 160M were just pulled out of their ass when the DS and Switch got too close, especially since late in the 00s they were selling less than half a million a year. They'll probably make some novelty legacy shit and sell it for like $50 to just try to nudge it a few more million when the Switch keeps going.

It was close, but it won't happen. Switch 1's are already selling below expectations, and nintendo won't keep production of them up forever like sony did with the PS2, the global market has changed and the third world doesn't buy old consoles anymore

Except sony apparently. Sony instead, in a pathetic effort to appear better than they are to shareholders, does things differently to artifically inflate sales numbers, and have always been known to do this. They do it with games, movies, music, consoles, etc.
