Yes, considering the development time and the cancellation of the first version there's no way it's anywhere close to breaking even and it remains to be seen how it holds up in the long run, but for opening sales it is what could realistically be expected of the franchise. Metroid in general and Prime in particular sell like shit for how storied they are. I don't think there was much of a chance to reverse course here no matter the install base.
