hilarious shit pirates say-DRMs don't deter piracy-DRMs actually INCREASE piracy <- this one is just deranged and said out of pure spite that they can't pirate the game.
DRMS do deter piracy. I saw plenty of people cave to denovo on r/crackwatch and cs.rin.ru. But a large bulk of pirates can't afford it or would just go without. Like I wanted to tryHi-Fi-Rush but never felt it was worth spending money on. It got cracked. I pirated it. It was meh. I deleted it. I would think there's lots of people like me with stuff.
>>732299928Is the crack out?
>>732300134have to assume voices is on this next. it's like the last big denovo game left
>>732300134depends on which cpu you have
>>732300209I think a lot of people want Stellar Blade too. And having played it, I think it's kind of overlooked but Khazan is also a good Denuvo game that isn't cracked yet.
>>732299928>DRMs actually INCREASE piracyThis is literally true for all rockstar games for me.After being forced to literally pirate Max Payne 3 even though I have a copy on steam because the version on steam not only doesn't work properly but also forces me to install rockstar launcher spyware I just stopped buying all their games and pirating instead.Legit rockstar game:Pay for it, install it, install 3rd party launcher, register a new account with 3rd party launcher, troubleshoot the game and pray it works.Pirate rockstart game:Download and install it, double click the exe file and play it.I do the same thing with any EA/Ubishit game that also forces the same 3rd party crap
an ez way to deter most pirates would be providing demos for your game but most dont do this since its cuts into the "customer buys something he doesnt know he doesnt want or need" profits
>>732300694Every time I see this it's either piracy or just not going to play either way for me
>>732300134there's a bypass using a virtual machine so yeah kinda
Just checked my Steam history and the last time I bought a game was in 2024 with Palworld which costed €26
>>732301845Note that Palworld was free to pirate, what can we learn from this? >>732299928>>732300078
I only buy games if they have DRM.
>>732299928Maybe they do maybe they don't. I honestly don't care because with DRM and no demo I will simply never give your game a try and forget about it. No clue why people make such a big deal about it - I neither have to justify using cracks nor do I care if a game uses Denuvo or not. I bought a lot of Indies after trying out the cracked version first that would otherwise never have gotten the sale on me. Stuff like Metallic Child, Escape from Duckov, Fantasy life, Enshrouded, Dyson Sphere Program, Tevi, Rabi Ribi, Palworld and many more just to name a few.Ofc there's enough cracks that I downloaded for games that turned out so mediocre that I was just glad to finish them for free.
>>732300936same
>>732299928I mean they don't really deter it. I can afford Wukong any day of the week but I'm simply not paying for it and have enough free games to play until the crack releases. It's as shrimple as that!
>>732299928hilarious shit paypig faggots do-seethe constantly -funds my games thank you piggy ;)
>>732300209he's got a ways to go yet before he gets to monke, if he's still going in order
