>mfw I replay one of my favorite games instead of trying out a new one
I am almost 40 and still play the same stuff I played 25 years ago. change is scary and I refuse to move on
>>732306432I still play god of war 3 once in a while, this game is way too good
>play new game>stop playing after a couple of hours>go back to old game and never touch new game again
>>732306579Did it make you a better man?
>>732306861no
>>732306432>>732306696>buy 10 games on sale>never touch them>keep rotating the same 3-5 games (online grind slops)>plus replaying gaymes from childhood every few yearssimple as
>>732306512Well, if it makes you feel any better, you are not missing out on anything at all.
>>732306432I used to do this.I bought a PC 3 months ago and played Fallout 1 and 2, Skald, Pathfinder and will start Civilization and Stronghold.Just try a new genre or something. NO, NOT LIKE THAT, ANON!
>>732306432I have the opposite problem. I keep playing new stuff and ignore the games that I already played even though playing them again would make me feel happy. Why? Because the "clock is ticking" mentality NEVER leaves me.
>>732309358>buy game on sale>never touch it>keep playing old games>new sale comes in>"hmm, I should buy that game">game is already on my library>move on looking for other games>repeat
>>732306512>>732306432It's not about change is scary, it's about the current version being worse than the original. The biggest example is sports games. I load up NBA2k1 on Dreamcast and I'm playing in a game in 30 seconds. Try to do the same shit in NBA26 and it's 3 EULAs you have to agree to, loading the big ass files, skipping through the season pass ads, skipping through the McDonald's ads, have to set up if you want to play arcade or simulation, oh but you have to be connected online to actually save your progress btw. And look at shit like the GTA Trilogy remake or the Advance Wars Remake. They just botch even simple classic games in modern times.
>>732311383>Have to check a list just in case I already have the gameWhy are we like this? I swear this just happened when I went to get a physical copy of Dragon Quest Monsters for Switch. Also for the Diddy Kong Amiibo. I saw Nintendo shop had it on stock and I went "hold on", checked my previous orders and I had already bought one.
>mfw i keep playing new games instead of replaying games i desperately want to replay even if i haven't played them in 25+ years
>>732306432>>732306512>>732306696>>732309358Once you hit a certain age its much harder to find new favorites while the old stuff tends to be just as good as it was so waddling on nostalgia just makes sense, though i really do reccomend to you guys at least every now and then to try some new stuff, not even necessarily made recently, just stuff you never touched before, as dementia tends to hit people who lock themselves in routines and dont experience many new activities.Gotta keep those neurons sharp and making new connections everyday if you dont want to be dull and confused once you hit 70.
>>732309358>online grind slopswhat is there for this anymore? Every single fucking mmo got turned into weekly and daily lockout treadmills
