I was having issues getting solar eclipses to spawn, they just refused to show up after many in-game weeks of playing after killing a mech. Finally after killing all 3 mechs, I decided I had to break into the temple to get a tablet to just force one to show up, thankfully hoiking still works.
I forced a solar eclipse, and then the very next day another one showed up naturally, and now they happen like every few days.
Is anyone else's game buggy like this?..

Well I didn't actually do the golem yet, I did this before plantera, I wanted to farm the shell and vampire stuff before getting raped by all the post plantera stuff. I've since done plantera, but the solar eclipses started spawning after i forced one.

Sure. You won't have access to cooler furniture in hardmode yet but at least you'll be able to build in peace without having to worry about corruption spreading everywhere in the world (which is crazy fast in HM until you beat a certain boss)

not sure i've ever disliked a world, but hauling all the items sounds like a pain in the @$$
but I do use the same character rather than make new ones because each one you have to take the time to fill out your "auto-trash" list. if i was able to save like a playlist of items i'll never use and attach it to a new character that'd be cool

I binged the fuck out of Terraria over the last month or two and have been needing more, and the mods just don't cut it. I downloaded Core Keeper a few days ago after seeing it mentioned in Terraria threads and have really been enjoying it for the most part but it definitely has flaws. Is there a good replacement for the meteor staff and/or daedalus bow pre moon lord? I'm using a melee build but I use those sometimes for support.

Idk, I never used both of them before. Try Clinger Staff/Nimbus Rod for pre-Golem and Betsy's Wrath for post Golem. Dart Gun/Rifle with ichor/cursed darts if you need another debuff.
