What the fuck happened to fighting games?

Unbelievably depressing. T8 is so shit and the promised "return to basics" of season 3 is going to be fucking nothing

Sadly, Tekken is the only answer. Virtua fighter is for posers who act like its the purest game but no one actually plays it. No one plays DOA either, people just jerk off to it. Even on release day, you'd struggle to find actual discussion about the game that isn't just "i want to fuck <character>!!". Soul calibur is the only contender with any potential and its not even on your list. Its the game casuals play and talk about then drop a week later, but at least it has people who actually play it. Pray the new VF is good because its the only chance 3d fighters have right now.
