Would you recommend this game to someone thats never played this type of rpg? Thinking about grabbing while it's on sale. DnD lore is also pretty cool.

How similar is it to Expedition 33? I'd never played any JRPGs (except Pokémon) and I thought I'd hate but I recently played it and really liked the gameplay. Is Baldur's Gate similar?
