People seem to either love this game or hate it, does it really deserve the hate? I played through it recently and I had fun with it so what is so bad about it that puts people off towards it?
It doesn’t deserve the hate. It has its flaws but it’s a good game and a lot of fun to play. People hate it because of Kiddy Kong + mindless eceleb bandwagoning. The music is also very disappointing coming from the previous games.
I liked it a lot, I think I played it just as much as 2, far more than 1, for sure, as a kid. I definitely remember hating kiddy kong though, fucking autistic retard.Those levels in the trees with the buzzsaws always stick out in my memory too.

I think it's excellent. Very close to DKC2 for me. I love the Pacific Northwest vibes and there are a lot of creative fun levels. I think people don't like Kiddy Kong. I kind of like him now but as a kid, I'm like who wants to play as a big whiny baby.
