Steam controller won't work with no steam gameslol
>inb4 j-just add the games to the steam library
>>732328341Isn't it just generic XINPUT controller? Should work fine across the board.
>>732328341 j-just add the games to the steam library.
>>732328409If it uses the back buttons then it need to be a D-input controller.
>>732328432Your mom is a D-input controller.
>>732328432Why?
>ayo dat shiet aint working with no damn steam games yo!
>>732328485Back buttons aren't supported by default for x-input controllers. Some controllers need to be in D-input mode in order to have their back buttons show up in Steam Input.
No shit? Microsoft fucked controllers hard.
What games can I use my Epic controller on?
>>732328409It is. The response is valve covering their own ass.
>>732328341That's not what that says at all lool
>>732328485Because xinput is a very feature-limited legacy system that hasn't been updated since 2005
>>732328341It's the same as the Steam Deck, you lying sack of shit, get fucked, Xbot.
4chan retards be like>does car drive on road?>yes, you can drive car on a road>[Breaking News] car stops working if not on road
>>732333038>>732334102They didn't say Yes, which means no
>>732328432>>732328525It will likely have a custom "native" protocol, implemented by Steam Input and probably by SDL too.It might have Xinput and/or Dinput compatibility modes too, but the original Steam Controller didn't and my reading of that FAQ is that this one won't either. It's not really an issue. Just means you need to either use the "add non-steam game to library" thing or use one of the third-party tools that will inevitably be made (similar to ds4windows).
BasedAll my games are on steam anyway
>>732335668Yeah there's probably going to be software solutions but IMO DS4Windows adds input delay so native would've been preferrable.
