>>732330154is that an xbox?
>>732330154PCVegan apocalypse
>he can't amass 1599,00 (plus tip) in 6 monthsngmi
>>732331202Honestly. Maybe if money is that tight stop playing bibeo bames and GO MAKE FUCKING MONEY
>>732330154>Graphical power is equivalent to roughly a 4060 or just below that.>Will cost probably 1000>Steam dick riders will buy it regardless because of "muh Gabe"
Steam Deck is underpowered brick and so too will this be. I'll wait for the Chinese machines with five times the performance.
>>732330154I'll be $700, get fucked, Xbot
>>732331756why wait? just buy a PC. oh wait that is expensive too. haha you are basically fucked.
>>732331967If it's 700 or above, I'm doing my own build. I have an old AM4 motherboard, and thankfully got ram before things got crazy. Thinking of getting a 9600xt 16gb and building around that. Sadly the 9060 is like 100 euros more expensive than it was at just the start of December (at least where I am). Can't win them all I suppose
>>732331967The only way it would be less than $800 is if they subsidize it, which they confirmed they won't do.
You can thank poojeets using AI to generate princess peach porn and scam emails.
15 years ago if you were willing to pay $200-300 more than the cost of a console you could get a really beefy PC that was significantly more powerful than said console. A $1000 PC would allow you to play basically any game on high settings and $1500-2000 would get you some ultra top of the line SLI GTX 980 autism build that was completely excessive. Now that type of money gets a computer that can barely play Fortnite. Crazy how much better things used to be.
just stream your games on Amazon™ Luna™who needs such a beefy machine anyway
>>732332294If it makes you feel any better, the next gen consoles (PS6, and Xbox if it's still around) will cost at least 1000 if things don't change.
>>732331045itoddler
>>732332260$700 is without subsidization.
>>732332818Xbox isn't really a console anymore and was going to cost $1000+ regardless, as it currently stand, it's going to cost $1500, PS6 is going to be $800+.
>>732332885And without RAM.
>>732333017With RAM
>>732330154>They let you buy it with steambux>Sell entire CS inventory for a free pcHeres hoping
>>732332412this. get with the times you pathetic boomers.
>semi-custom silicon>Valve's economy of scale>Direct-to-Consumer model>it's going to be like $1500 guysYou guys are stupid and don't know how semi-custom hardware works. This shit will cost less than prebuilts with similar specs which already cost less than DIY PCs of similar specs even in RAM/SSD hell.
I'm so confused how they had this thing in development and production and just didn't stockpile resourcesthere's no earthly way it launches for less than $1k usdit's fucking INSANE
>>732333720>I'm so confused how they had this thing in development and production and just didn't stockpile resourcesThey did, RAM and SSD shortage are insane, and the companies gave what was supposed to be Valve to big tech corporations for their AI Datacenters they're never going to build.
>>732333720what most likely happened is that the manufacturers cancelled their deal with valve and demanded valve pay an extra 5 gorillionthey make more profit than they have to eat in fines from cancelling the contract
>>732333947>>732334534how have ms and ninty and sony managed? how did that new projector slopbox that beat the xbox last christmas manage? how are all these chink handhelds managing?
>>732334581I know the PS5 slim was on sale during black Friday for like 350. I honestly wish I bought one up. I didn't answer your question, I forgot what you said.
>>732333678>This shit will cost less than prebuilts with similar specsthey already said it won't quit the cope
You think we getting a bundle of frame + machine?
>>732334581>how have ms and ninty and sony managed?they already locked into concrete contracts that last for years to purchase 10s of millions with discount for ordering such large quantities, valve doesn't have the same big dick leeway
>>732331983ai is crashing prices will stabilize
>>732335175AI is absolutely a bubble that will pop. But no one knows when. It could be 6 months. It could be 5 years. No one knows for sure.
After the announcement I'm expecting $999
>>732330154>delayedi was literally sitting here ready to eat whatever the price is because of ram but i guess i'll just have to look at buying something else now
Valve are so cursed with the steam machine. This one is going to be really hampered by the current price hikes. It's not even as powerful as a PS5, and it'll probably be like twice the price. If they released this a year ago, a price of 600 or maybe even a little lower would have totally been feasible. Like I said, cursed.
>>732333678>semi-custom silicon>look inside>standard silicon with lowered power limit
>>732332871Drinking Satania's pee!
>>732333678It was supposed to be $899 BEFORE the price increase of SSDs, GPUs and RAM.
>>732330154Thanks Scam Altman
>>732335705They didn't secure enough RAM it's their own fault, that's something a forward-thinking company would do
599 US Dollars
>>732336361You're full of shit. Valve themselves said the price would be comparable to an equivalent prebuilt. And no way would a PC with similar components be 899 a few months ago.
>>732336457>Linus has an interview with Valve guys responsible for the Steam Cube>“When I said I’m disappointed [Steam Machine] isn’t going to follow a console pricing model, Valve asked what I meant by console price and I said $500. Nobody said anything, but the energy in the room wasn’t great.”How much do you think it was supposed to cost, in your opinion?
>>732330154Don't care, I'm from the low economical class, I can spent up to $2000 in a console if I want to.
>>732336532$699
>>732336671>I can spent up to $2000 in a console if I want to.Spend $2000 on English classes.
>>732336446Companies cancelled contracts because they'd make more on AI. The entire thing is bullshit. Samsung can't even give their own company ram.
>>732336532>When I said I’m disappointed [Steam Machine] isn’t going to follow a console pricing model, Valve asked what I meant by console price and I said $500. Nobody said anything, but the energy in the room wasn’t greatAnd where in that quote does it say it was supposed to be 899? My issue is pulling these definite sounding numbers out of your ass. >How much do you think it was supposed to cost, in your opinion? At a guess? Between 600 and 700. But it is a guess. And now we'll never know for sure.
>>732335175Chip manufacturers are so overinvested in that shit that the bubble popping will probably just kill the companies for good.
>>732330154>finally an affordable solution to get into PC gaming>AI shitstorm prices hit
>>732336737english is harding.
>>732331446>It's not the industry's fault for engaging in practices that will make gaming unsustainably expensive, it's poorfags fault gor being poor HOLY BOOTLICK, BATMAN!
>>732330154>2399.99
>>732336859Depends how much you want or need out of gaming. The fun thing with PC gaming is you can build around your needs. If you're ok with playing solely 1080p and using upscaling, or lossless scaling if your card doesn't support it natively, you can still build a current gayman PC for relatively cheap. You won't be doing any ray tracing mind you.
