I just can't see why Bern would be giving the time of the day to Lambda without the context of Gou/Sotsu.The older view that she was just a complete stranger that caused all of Bern's suffering indirectly was a big cop out considering a lot of Bern's quotes in episode 1 and 2 imply she dealt with Lambda directly, but also it really didn't justify well why Bern would also use her as an emotional anchor in the first place.Even when Bern is angry, you see her lashing out on Featherine for her suffering during the loops, but not on Lambda. She just blames Lambda for being irritating or for both of them always ending up making different choices and being on opposing sides.With the new set up Lambda is basically a continuation of Satoko's role as Rika's emotional anchor (and even club member, like the scene with them discussing punishment games at the end of ep4), so that behavior is automatically explained.

Chapter 1 and 6 are among my two fav pieces of fiction, they're so nuanced.Chapter 7 lost me big time and Chapter 8 was a bit better and it did end in a satisfying way but the leadup to the final scenes is so fucking bad in a way that you could never explain, you sorta just have to read it for yourself to understand.In my opinion Higurashi is way better than Umineko, at the very least everyone agrees it's more consistent in quality up until the end, so it's up to you if you want to try it.
So apparently if I want to add brass knuckles to the shrine I... can't due to gay "laws" and shit. I could add resin knuckles that look like brass knuckles, but that's kind of lame + probably could be enforced anyways. Maybe I'll just get an old inhaler put it on the shrine and call it a day
