And that is just not good enough. Oblivion was good in 2006 but there is not a single fucking mechanic that Skyrim didn't just straight up improve. Unless you're a magic fag crying about the lack of spellcrafting. Killmoves, stealth kills, shield bash being a basic move, the smithing/alchemy/enchanting progression system that can make a basic steel sword a fucking endgame weapon. All those things add so much long term motivation. While the gear you get in Oblivion will always be as good as it is when you get it. And don't even get me started on fucking item durability.

In Oblivion it's just melee and archery damage respectively. Strength does still affect carry weight but there's basically no reason to level agility if not an archer. Attributes really were nearly vestigial in Oblivion.
