I don't care for achievemts.

same. the only time I'll bother going out of my way to get any is if I'm really liking a game and achievements will get me to try something new. that's happened in crusader kings
arthrosis moment
>>732350341>reach credits on easy mode>immediately uninstallHaha another one off the backlog!
evil creatures
>don't care about achievements >realize i've got 95% of them for multiple games i play semi-oftenthey really arent much for being called "achievements" huh
>>732350419>antidepressant content>makes you sadFuck you
>>732350996says the brownoid
>>732351179give us some titles. you're probably playing the easy stuff.
>>732351395idk and igaf i'll fully admit i play casual games but with 7 days to die just as an example i have all but one (7DTD is my autism game)
>>732351179most achievements are just a easy way for devs to do data collection
>>732351609hey I'm not judging. just saying that games usually don't hand out their achievements.you probably played a lot of 7dtd, it's 100+ hours for the completion.
>>732352326sure they do, plenty of games give multiple achievments for simply doing something you were bound to do
>>732350996Did a cat eat your balls or something?
I was obsessed with my Gamerscore when Xbox 360 introduced them. I do credit them with expanding my gaming pallet, because Id play any shit ass game I came across to bump my number up. Before then it was Action game, Racing Game, Horror Game otherwise no.But now I see that is what they are designed for. To lock you into an ecosystem and keep you there. You'd never move to another platform and lose "all that work". And they have really done a number on game design, where these external systems become the main game.
>>732354163and plenty of games don't. I often end up at 40-50% after one casual playthrough. it depends on the genre, that's why I asked for titles.
>>732350996Shut up, mouse
>>732352326>games usually don't hand out their achievementsOh u
>>732355063Really you pay any game through on the hardest non meme difficulty you are looking at 50% in the best of cases. The rest is all level grinding, kill X with Y weapon grinding, collectibles, extremely specific luck based instances, shit that has absolutely nothing to do with playing the game at all (e.g. start the game 20 times at 3am or whatever Air Twister had), etc. I dont know why people say games hand them out.
>>732355396yeah I don't know what /v/ plays. I can only think of walking sims where most achievements are story related and there are a couple achievements for secrets and collectibles.

the first time that i care about achievements was funorb. i really don't care about the level up feature for for game platform accounts. but how funord did it, is that if you get a achievement in any funorb flash game. you gain points. and with these points you can trade them for unlockables, cosmetics, and other stuff. instead of buying them with money. i like this feature in funorb because getting them has value. too bad jadex took the website down.
