Play Starfield
>>
>>732351180
Irredeemably bad game. Mods won't fix it, ever.
>>
>>732351180
i like starfield and i've yet to play the DLC, but i want to wait for the alleged starfield 2.0 update that's been teased
>>
>>732351180
Maybe if/when this so called starfield 2.0 releases
>>

unironic cope, you're just getting a bunch of random CC mods and pointless qol
>>
>>732351337
Yeah dude totally no one mods or plays Skyrim 15 years later. You fucking retarded faggot lmao
>>
>>732351260
kukuku why would we need mods when the 2.0 dlc is coming in April
>>
>>732351180
No, I'm, playing Skyrim
>>
I liked Starfield. Hating on Bethesda is the most reddit opinion I can imagine.
>>
>>732351559
I liked Skyrim. Hating bethesda seems perfectly reasonable to me.
>>
>it's a space game but you don't actually get to fly your ship on planets
>no you don't get to do the lift off
>landing on a planet? no that's automated
>oh the planets? yeah they're randomly generated with a few repeatable bases scattered about
>oh you thought since they were randomly generated you could just explore them freely? no.. no you can't do that
>yeah of course you can fast travel, you can fast travel to your ship and then fast travel to space where you fast travel to planets so you can go to one of the randomly generated locations
From the developers known for their great video game worlds. I wonder why this one wasn't a success
>>
That giant Star Wars modpack just added the lightsaber/jedi stuff, so it's probably worth playing now.

Yeah nah
>>
>>732351260
Modders abandoned Starfield within the first three months of it's release. Many modders made videos explaining in great detail why they abandoned Starfield. Basically, the primary reason they cited was that they quickly grew bored with the game and no longer wanted to play it. However, they also mentioned that the very framework that Starfield is built on is so broken that no amount of modding could ever fix it, specifically referring to the cell system that Bethesda uses.
>>
>>732352054
Yeah Reddit does that, if you criticize anything you'll get downvoted, they're consoomer central. I didn't say you should post on Reddit, I said that if you hate on Bethesda you're spiritually a redditor.
>>
>>732351423
People play skyrim because they got told to, and heavily mod it because it's a terrible game.
>>

I gotta give it to Starfield. They made the infinite vastness of space feel like an ocean sized puddle. That is an accomplishment.

Let's play Starfaild

We are in a Starfaild spaceship in space. Let's "fly" to that planet.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
We are in orbit around the planet. No point in exploring the planet because there's only one repeating city on the planet?! Fine.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Well, the game landed the ship for us. Let's get out of the ship.
>*cut scene of exiting the cockpit to hide the loading screen*
Okay, let's press E on the ladder to leave the ship.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Well, let's walk around the city. Oh, here's a building. Let's go in.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go up to floor two. No stairs? Here's an elevator. Let's go in.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
On floor two now. Nothing to see here. Let's leave this building. Back in the elevator.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
On floor one now. Let's press E on the door to leave.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Maybe there is something to do somewhere else. Hey, here's a train. Let's get in.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Okay. Another area of the city. More buildings to click to go in. Nah, let's leave this planet. Back to the train.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's walk to our ship. Press E on the ladder to enter the ship.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go to the cockpit. Press E on the chair.
>*animation to hide the loading screen*
Let's ascend.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go to another planet.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
So, fast travel is the only way to travel in this game? There's no driving or actual flying, landing, or ascending? There are world cell loading all over the place? Fuck this, Bethesda.
*rage*
*clicks settings*
*clicks exit to main menu*
>are you sure?
*clicks yes*
>loading
>main menu
>click any button to continue
*clicks button*
*clicks settings*
*clicks exit game*
>are you sure?
*clicks yes*
>loading
*crash to desktop*
*uninstall.exe*

There is a hint of a good game in Starfield. They just made the world so fucking generic and forgetable. Starfield set in some frontier area in the Halo universe would have been kino.
>>
>>732352102
Good riddance honestly, most of them are jaded faggots or sellouts the scene would be better off without

>>
>>732356108
come on now, cp2077 also has quickhacks and slow mo and the melee combat is infinitely better than starfield. it's honestly a non-issue for me though, i RP'd pretty hard in starfield so i beat the game with a 1911, sawed off shotgun and a katana and i didnt see much need for anything else kek
>>
>>732355578
Because you're cattle
>>
>>732354908
I haven't played saarfield but if the loading screens are anywhere as long as fo4's, the game sounds borderline unplayable.
>>
The whole tactical marshmallow to generic sleek aesthetic was fucking boring, especially with Bethesda's lame equipment/inventory setup. They would have been better served with a more modular system like the ship building. Give us a choice of a light, medium, or heavy base and then let us build it out with scavenged/crafted modular components.
>>
>>732357005
loading screens are quick, as SSD is mandatory for the game
>>
>>732356108
I'll take your word for it.

Nah I'll stick with skyrim (and fallout once modders release the ae version of their mods).
>>

Nice try but Cybperunk has levelled loot
>>
>>732357143
I have an SSD and fo4's loading screens are still atrocious especially when you load into the commonwealth.
>>
>>732357198
That's how you can really tell if it's a boring game. Even the coomers won't waste their time on it.
>>
>>732351180

I haven't played this game since the Xbox 360 was the current gen. Found a mod that lets me craft spells like Morrowind and oblivion, it's pretty fun. Isn't tied to the enchant system like it is in those games tho, sadly.
Oh and you're a nigger.

all 3 games he mentioned have space exploration and ship flying as their main gameplay mechanics, NMS also has procedually generated worlds and resource harvesting which are also core things you can find in Starfield.
they all do those things much much better than Starfield (save for Citizen because thats more of a tech demo in development hell than a game).
your shitty retort makes no sense because none of those games share anything with GTA IV, and if your argument is "well those games he brought up arent anything like Starfield either!" then you are wrong as well, the only thing Starfield does different from those games is having rpg mechanics (and i generously call them that) and a "story".
>>
>>732357005
Don't worry, most "loading screens" have been fractured into dozens of unskippable in-game animations.
>>

Got one down at least. Could use some work though as it does not look good when driving land vehicles, lol
>>
>>732351260
Not so, not so. If any other studio other than BGS made this, it would be hailed as a masterpiece.
>>
>>732359030
It's super not good tho, its ONLY saving grace was that it was made by Bethesda. People were excited for starfield before it came out.
>>
>>732351180
I wish the 'settlement' POIs took the planet/moon they're on more into consideration. No campfires and tents on airless moons, no chairs with beer cans on Titan style frozen methane snow worlds. If the best spacesuit that money can buy only gives 60 seconds of survival time, I shouldn't be seeing a bunch of "farmers" on some radioactive inferno world.
>>
>>732357216
So does dtarfield
>>
Crazy how The Precursors is a better space game than Starfield.

>>

>>

a studio other than bethesda made no man's sky and it had much the same reaction to its reliance on procedural content
>>
No excuse for loading screens in 2026 when there are SSDs with 7+ GBps read speeds and most gaming PCs have at least 32GB RAM.
>>
>>732351180
>Hey lets make a space game and remove the one thing that makes our games good!

The lack of unique locationS to explore like in Skyrim or Fallout 4, killed the game for me.

Whats the point of exploring planets if they are procedural generated.
>>
>>732361782
Procedural generation can be okay in some cases, but there have to be unique and distinct locations and reasons for going there.
>>
>>732351260
But enough about New Vegas

Okay apparently skyrim is the good version of this game, so it has no loading screens and the NPCs are interesting and all the story quests are engaging and interesting?
>>
>>732361776
bethesda's main target audience nowadays is console players
>>
>>732362023
No Skyrim sucks too
What you need to understand about Bethesda is that they always make a game that "could have been the greatest game of all time"
>>

the greatest game of all time

>>
>>732355578

>>
I love starfield. I will never forget visiting its many iconic locations like the cave with a bunch of rocks and nothing else in it and the cave with a bed and some bags of potato chips on the floor.
>>
>>732351180
I will. After I finish up my modded FO4 playthrough & baleet everything I'll have enough space to try the Genesis modlist ... to be fair, I modded Starfield back when it came out, and got it up to 7/10 ... maybe it will be better in the Star Wars universe, they've added lightsabers & jedi stuff now.
Will definitely give it a shot, but not before I finish up ... goddamnit, they could've just repainted Fallout & put it in space, would've been perfect ;__;
>>
>>732351180
If starfield was actually daggerfall in space like i wanted id still be playing it.
Instead i got skyrim with guns and emptiness.
>>
>>732357609
AAF violate & a bunch of animations, that's pretty much it. Oh, that mod that puts a lamp near you, if the place is too dark. :)
Never did like the harassment mods, or the handcuffs stuff (except for role-playing that one quest), bound in public is kinda fun for variety's sake, but that's all fluff - sex on defeat is enough.

You can go from Riften to Solitude without a single loading screen and with more than a dozen random encounters.
>>
>>732370253
CyberPunk 2077 is far and away a better game than the turd known as Saarfield.
