>/v/ still swears up and down that no one cares about Horizon>The FIFTH Horizon game in 9 years just got announcedIs Horizon the "No cultural impact" (Avatar) of /v/? Why are >we so out of touch when it comes to this game in particular? I never played any game in the series, for the record.
>I never played a Horizon>let me jump through hoops to defend itWho do you thinking you're fooling?
/v/ is a PC mustard race board with some annoying tendies on top. Sony fans are wildly underrepresented here. Similar reason why no one talks about sports games here but they're always half of the top 10.
>>732352974It's fascinating as hell that the only thing I hear about this series is that no one cares about it but they keep getting new games. It literally is the Avatar of /v/. That's why I'm talking about it now that I heard another game is coming.
>>732352994This is a tendie board. Go ahead and start a valve thread, steam deck thread or a thread about an upcoming pc exclusive and see how long it lasts before it mysteriously gets shitposted into the ground and ctrl+f vegan and snoy while you're at it
>>732352994This. all the retarded posts start to make sense once you realize 90% of this board is brainrotted valvejeets from India
>>732353148Tendies are just the biggest shitposters and they always get angry that they are not actually representative of /v/. Remember when they kept trying to shill Bananza as a big deal to no avail? That came and went like a wet fart.
>>732352823ITT: OP doesn't know what an Industry Plant is
>>732352823>Is Horizon the "No cultural impact" (Avatar) of /v/?it's that way outside of /v/ as wellif you recall, Avatar had two incredibly successful movies without anyone really caring about the content or quality of the movies themselvesit's only with the third movie that the dimishing returns are hitting them hardSony bloats Horizon's numbers by bundling it with the console, but no one gives a fuck about the ip itself
>>732352994>sports gamesWe got a code Brown
>>732353298>dimishingdiminishing, holy fuck
>>732353298>Muh bundlesThis has always read to me as cope.
>>732353298>if you recall, Avatar had two incredibly successful movies without anyone really caring about the content or quality of the movies themselvesNo, anon, we just live in a bubble. Same with Horizon.
I really like Horizon (only just played it this year, not got round to 2 yet), probably more than anyone else here, and I agree it's culturally irrelevant. It's one of those games that a bunch of people might have played but it isn't informing anybody's overall opinion on games and is not going to influence the cultural zeitgeist. It's a nice, fun, polished game with enjoyable gameplay, good animations, a vast world to explore and great graphics, it is entirely derivative though, hence nobody really talks about it, and nobody is going to remember it 15 or 20 years from now.
