it's trans-friendly, which is a plus
>>
The new 4.6 release is a great improvement over 4.5.

that isn't the troon flag luckily and there hasn't been a single "game dev" product that hasn't bent the knee in some fashion to the rainbow mob. The most important part is how soon they back off the haliburton-approved virtue signaling now that we've won.
>>

watch the webm
>>
>>732362032
oh fuck that's a webm, how disgusting I stand corrected
>>
>>732361635
Works great for what I use it for, which is just 2D arcade games.
>>
>>732361635
yes
>why?
it's idiot friendly, it teaches you code concepts, it's friendly to both modern and 2010s rendering, it doesn't force anything onto what you make so there are no template asset flip feeling games, supports modern display server techniques, hardware input by default, interpolated physics and framerates by default, literally everything can be swapped out, uses the code from in your project to rework the engine itself, no accounts needed, 500mb, supports more formats than any other engine.
These are just the foundations of why it's better than Unity or Unreal, subjective stuff is for you to judge.

This is a shill thread btw, Juan needs donations

Who gives a shit?
There are still other places you can receive feedback for your game, including 4chin
>>
>>732362864
Where nigga?
>Post game on /v/
>Get ignored and told to buy an ad
>Go to /agdg/
>It's just trolls posting gore, arguing about ecelebs, and ignoring people actually posting their games
I did find playtesters on /soc/ once, that was actually kinda useful.
>>
>>732364292
post in the dev threads when they show up
if no one is replying then your game is either too barebones or boring, or you don't know how to write your questions properly
>>
currently learning, kinda interesting
after decades of desktop/web development never bothered with gamedev, but now I'm old and bored so might as well

wtf i looked into it and there was no gore
false advertising on /v/ as usual, fuaark....

I would stay away from /agdg/. The community can be pretty helpful but people get doxxed there regularly and one anon tried to get another's game canceled by leaking a bunch of private Discord messages just last week.

Recently made this, has good physics, good lighting, I'd say Godot is great at making PS2 style games.
Super easy to learn too, so for Indies, yeah it's great, for AAA, probably not.

Acrolyte will do fine :)

So just like /ic/, just grab the resources and stay away from the threads for your own good

Just from the screenshots alone, I can tell the game has SOUL
I'm curious, how long have you been modeling and programming? I wonder how long a newbie like me will be able to make something with a scope like that
>>
>>732365707
I've been modelling a lot longer than programming, and started with various props. I think it's a good idea to start modelling simple things, like chess pieces, or something. And for programming, my method is instead of trying to learn EVERYTHING, just focus on learning what you need for the game you want to make, then do the same for your next project. That's a good way to grow without overwhelming yourself.

That's actually a solid advice
I've always struggled with learning programming languages because I thought I should work my way up and learn everything. I'm going to focus on what I actually need to learn instead like you said
I should apply this philosophy to other skills I want to learn too
Thanks, anon
>>
>>732366718
Glad I could help, can't wait to see what you make :)
>>
>>732361635
Yeah, just think of all these great Godot games like uhhhhhhh
>>

Kingdoms of the dump
Buckshot roulette
Brotato
Cassette beasts
Dome keeper
Monster freaks
