AC Evo finally dead?

They're dropping career mode with economy-based progression in favor of trials skill-based progression that helps you get better at racing. I'm actually confused by people so upset, yeah fuck KUNOS for going back on their word, but it's weird to see so many people mad they won't get a Forza Horizon mode in a simulator like ACE.

I mostly just zoom around in practice mode to build up experience with my wheel but I do think it's a shame. PC doesn't really have a modern GT-like game, so it's too bad we aren't getting that in AC Evo.

Maybe because they were selling an EA game promising the defunct career mode? It was supposed to be the meat, trials and other modes being side content.
Now it's just another sim where you join multiplayer races. Sure, most people is happy with that but EVO had career mode to stand out and they gave up.
Ironically, AMS2 of all games is releasing a career mode this year. If they can manage to make it good enough, it'll be a middle finger to these pesky Italians.

i don't care about career shit or progression in a game like ac. give me boatloads of tracks, let me drive boatloads of cars, and give me events like races, time attacks, hill climbs, etc. that's it. i want to e-drive cars.
