They're outsourcing development to low-cost English-speaking countries like Malaysia and India. So if you're in a country like that you could have a chance at an internship.

Go to school and get a degree in something practical. It doesn't have to be a STEM degree, but it has to be something that could land you a decent job. Trust me. You don't want to be where I am. I followed my dreams like an idiot. I turn 41 tomorrow and have no degree, no skills, and no relevant experience. I can't get get hired by fucking Pizza Hut. I'm still trying to gather the nerve to hang myself, but I can't seem to find it. I don't want to do this anymore.
