You do still need to know a little CLI stuff even on the easiest distros. First game I tried on linux after swapping to it about a week ago was tf2 cus I knew it was native. Crashes on startup. Had to learn how to use ctrl+alt+f4 to open up a diff workspace (I guess it's an independent bash environment) with the terminal to download a CLI-bases task manager-style-program to kill tf2 and then ctrl+alt+f7 to swap back to the main desktop. I haven't had any issues since then because it's trivial to work around the crash (just a launch option setting, I needed one on windows too lol) and my current playthrough of new vegas is proceeding with absolutely no issues. But it's good to know how to wrangle it if need be. It'll be fun for me to learn how to properly navigate it, I'm already better at handling the mkdir cd make build cd install example.tar.gz - cd ~ nonsense (not fluent in it obv) but this is not for everyone right now (which is good o algo)

I had used CachyOS for about 2 weeks in January and was really into it. I did end up switching back to Windows 10 for now because of an extremely weird issue. Linux was causing my connection to have extreme bufferbloat (10x what I get on windows). I had done a bunch of research on the issue and tried many fixes including changing from KDE to Gnome, changing power options for my NIC, tried different DNS options and even setup a bazzite partition to see if it was a Cachy only problem. Results the same on both.It wouldn't be a major issue, but I play a few online games with friends and it was causing problems with staying in sessions and such.
