I'm replaying Awakening and the same turn acting reinforcements are so bad. The game sometimes tries to foreshadow them through dialogue, but the only time it did a decent job on warning where they'll spawn is the chapter you get Cordelia. And no having forts be clear spawn points isn't good game design, because you now treat forts as these places on the map to deliberately avoid, or have units planted on there doing nothing else for god knows how long. This worse example so far has to be chapter 16 because it has enemies spawn from the edge of the map, where you don't know where they'll come from, and you have Falcon Knights that can double most of your slower enemies while covering a lot of the map.

ClaudeAll of this fine BTW but the problem is that Edelgard and the Empire are the aggressors in this war. She's the one marching her armies into each area's territories. But you can't judge the Empire by the same standards as everyone else because then you'd be presented as a crazed supervillain. Edelgard knows full well where the Heroes Relics come from and why they exist. And if she knows that then she knows the War of Heroes was not a power grab but a war for revenge. Revenge against genocide. Her own war is about far LESS. But somehow the dissonance in logic is just never addressed. I'd be fine with that if it was presented as blatant manipulation on her part but it isn't. She's presented as heroic and.... no?
