Anyone else giving up on digital media? I've decided to start investing in physical media whenever I can. It was just bothering me that the last 10 years or so of this hobby has resulted in me owning virtually nothing, no games, all digital files. Just digital rentals locked to estores and digital storefronts like Steam and GoG. I think I'm going back to carts and discs while they last. Fuck digital.

Remember, the data isn't on the surface of the disc, it's underneath, the scratch isn't on the data, but it's fucking up the ability to read it (for the light to shine through the surface).

The PS4 version was only physically released in Japan so you need to import it which is why it's regularly $50+, but the Nioh 1 + 2 CE on console is almost always $20. Just pirate games anyway, that's what I do with all my retro stuff that I don't own physically. Most games worth a shit the last decade have been from indie or other small studios and can be easily pirated. Have a large hard drive and a toaster and you can play tons of retro games, and even mid tier rigs can play AAA slop from the last decade at low enough settings.
