>Morrowind: handcrafted world, modern TES formula
>Oblivion: Oblivion Gates, radiant AI
>Skyrim: dragons, Shouts, radiant quests
>Fallout 4: settlement building
What's gonna be TESVI's standout mechanic focused on by the marketing?

Starfield has Spaceships, so most likely Sailing

Considering that its apparently being designed to play for "decades" I would predict its gonna be full on no-life medieval fantasy simulation
Bigger cities, more people, create a family, run your own factions, multiple endings maybe. Just take every element that Skyrim boasted and double its quality + depth

Either Shipbuilding
Sword Singing Crafting
Or it'll be so generic it won't have a gimmick other then its lack of gimmick being a gimmick

ai generation of dungeons, quests, equipment, ai voice acting

i'm not even against ai but that's genuinely what i see happening

Procedural dungeons and quests. It will be Daggerfall 2.0.

Open cities and interiors

It'd be hilarious if the best pirate game made since Black Flag ends up being Toddslop.

Bethesda's engine can't handle shit moving around while something is inside of it. Even the opening with the wagon is prone to fuck up and that's a cutscene. Boats will be a fast travel option and that's it.

So was Starfield and you know how that panned out.

>“We’ve learned so much there.”
Yeah, they learned to stretch a glorified character creator and hollow planets over 1,000 loading screens. TESVI being "played for decades" means modders will carry it like always while Todd pats himself on the back for inventing boats that don't move.

Considering how shallow Skyrim was, doubling its "depth" isn't going to do much.
That would be pretty cool though, if the game is more about being a role playing life sim sort of experience. I doubt Bethesda is capable of making a game that interesting, though.

Bethesda has too many old people and the younger generation they hired during 2010-Now is made up of diversity hires.

Most of the old guard left during 2021~23.

DAILY REMINDER THEY WILL TRY TO PUSH THE NEW THEME SONG TO REACH SKYRIM STATUS BUT IT WILL FLOP HARD
