As someone who did multiple playthrough's of: Demon's souls, Dark souls 1, Dark souls 2, Dark souls 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, The surge, The surge 2, Lords Of The Fallen, the other Lords Of The Fallen, Lies of P, Mortal Shell, Code Vein, Steel Rising, Bleak Faith, AI Limit and Hellpoint I have to say:I'm too old for this shit
>>732775526So this is your first Nioh then? Do you use the Ki Pulse mechanic? That boss is really not that hard.
>>732775674I do use it but it feels like i just don't have enough resources. not enough health, not enough stamina nothing. I'm waiting for my stamina to regen nonstop even if i use ki pulse. im also getting older and just don't have my old reflexes anymore. i'd rather play a game that's actually fun than torture myself with these types of games anymore
>>732775873If you're too used to the way Dark Souls plays you may have been trained to not block, blocking is good in Nioh and you should see it as a valid option.Outside of it, just learn the moveset and openings
>>732776021Blocking takes a lot of ki though
>>732776974Your toughness stat determines Ki drain on block. If you use heavier armor you'll have more Ki and be better able to block hits. And in Nioh 3 you can get a deflect skill that works like Sekiro's deflects. Block at the right time and you won't consume Ki nor take any chip damage. Unfortunately skill points are out of your reach until you get past the boss. What weapon are you using? You may feel very limited right now since you don't have access to stances yet
>>732777196more toughness*, not more KiBack in Nioh 1 and 2 it was heavily recommended to have a baseline of 100 toughness, but the thresholds have been increased in 3 to encourage you to make a heavy build for samurai and that way feel more different from ninja
