Meanwhile if you approach an enemy in a straight line for an attack you will literally stab yourself in the back, and you're locked out of multiple attack angles because you'll stab one of yourAnd the tradeoff is there's a low chance you get the ranger skill that lets you catch projectiles and get a minor synergy you can sort of control, or get another trait/skill that lets you move multiple times in a turn and spawn another shadow that requires you to attack a different enemy from the same angle for what amounts to a basic attack.

Had an asbolute god run with a tank kitty that got full healed before every combat and +2 shield every time he got damaged by an ability AND my archer kitty had the thorn arrow skill so he could deal piddly damage through shield and give him like 8 addition shield per turn plus a bunch of thorns.Literally facetanked the caverns boss like it was nothing.Pity I had only progressed that far with that party, I could've probably beaten the entire game with them it felt like
