Splitting duration into a second stat was silly>Combat flow itself is more dynamic. Lot of words basically saying nothing. The idea is to pick two weapons that scale together, but now you essentially have twice as much to go through and we already had a dual weapon system that filled that niche. I'm glad people find it fun, truly, but I would have rather had actual new weapons that engage with core Nioh mechanics (ki pulse and stances) rather than a host of new weapons with a completely different play style.I'm totally fine agreeing to disagree on all of this, but I feel like a lot of changes were for the sake of change and were just side grades. I still enjoy the game, and I'm not disappointed enough to hate it, but I'm very curious to see what the DLC brings.

Time to play some Nioh 3.I think I'm about 2/3rds or almost 2/3rds of the way through Bakumatsu.So far in terms of level-design and gameplay Bakumatsu has been my favorite, and the game is also at its most difficult right now.I think they've overdone the apocalyptic looking aesthetic a bit too much though.It's fine for one area, in which case Bakumatsu fits perfectly as the endgame area looking all crazy and fucked, but the impact isn't there because Heian also had a very apocalyptic look.I also wish Yamatai was a bigger part of the game. It's basically just one small level and one big level. The big level is really good, but the setting is so cool it's a shame we don't spend more time there.Hopefully the DLCs bring a bit more variety.

In Bakumetsu, some assets take some time to load, even enemy reinforcement in Crucible Gauntlets.But the funny shit? It's when you summon a Yokai. Sometimes, it takes 10 15 seconds to appear. It's even more funny against the twin axe guy from Heian. Some of his summons took 5 sec to show up. The fight becomes more random between his super armor and the yokais popping randomly.It's probably my shit old PC rather than something intended, but very fun.
