CRTs have a weak built in degaussing but when that's not enough say if some kid took a magnet to the screen and turning the TV off and on again doesn't fix it, you can set another CRT in front of it and it will allow them to degauss each other. It's silly as hell but it's legit a thing. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/nt220HD_OPMThe only time degaussing coils or rods can be dangerous is if you use them on the back of the CRT or doing it on its bare parts but you'd have enough common sense not to just dismantle your CRT especially if you had no idea what you were even doing in the first place.

>>732899754You got used to the big and flat screens as we all did. Just put a 23" CRT (which was always considered big) next to a similar size LCD monitor and you'll feel the difference. That being said even my 17" CRT doesn't feel small if I'm sitting in front of it but everything on that desk is optimized for that setup.
