Second is that for every good round there are like 3 meh or bad rounds. Lastly I think a lot of the fun of SS13 was in learning it. Once I figured out how some of the systems worked they became less interesting. Reviving someone by applying a defibrator to their brain was fun once. I still look for games that have a similar feel. Barotrauma is probably the closest. and its still miles off. I think stationeers could be a good fit. it has all the systems necessary in theory.

I remember there being some insanely autistic and repetitive people back when I still played this game.I used to play botanist a lot when I was first starting off, I would very often be co-workers with some guy who wouldn't say a word and just silently grow weed and mutate it every single round, then extract some chemicals from the mutated weed (I think it was meth) and just ingest that and run around. And when he ran out of chems, he would grow more weed and repeat the process. He did this for the entire round (or until he was killed) for like the several dozen rounds I've played with him.And then there were the clowns and mimes who wouldn't even get up to shenanigans, they would just like walk around basically being NPCs, at first I figured they were new players who didn't know how to do anything, but no, they would pick clown/mime whenever they could and just spend the entire round barely interacting with anything or anyone and just kinda walking around.There was also a guy who would blatantly AFK every round unless he rolled antag, which he would then proceed to murderbone/powergame as hard as he could, but never got banned for it because he was a coder for the server and friends with the tranny admins. I started messing with his SSD body while he was AFKing waiting for an antag popup, doing shit like hiding him in lockers or stealing his gear, until I was bwoinked by admins for fucking with the guy they decided has total impunity to punishment.

Most of the fun I've had in this game game comes from just griefing. Running around as atmos shutting off scrubbers so people start randomly choking to death, creating and releasing random diseases as viro, making poison as chem, labeling them as medication and putting them in cabinets or in medbay (my favorite) or just going around clipping random wires or using IED's and welding fuel tanks to blow up random shit.My best moment was when I caused a plasma fire during evac and killed pretty much everyone there.
