Girl's Frontline and Projext Neural Cloud did this. In GFL, you got a bit about your canon Adjutant Kalina being overworked. In Neural Cloud, you get the 2 different ones from Persicaria. 1 where she's so distracted she doesn't even notice you calling her. When she does, she cries into your chest. In the other, another major character is also sad and shit, but she makes an announcement over the City's intercom that you've returned, leading to you getting swamped by a bunch of other characters all going "WE MISSED YOU!"

More games should guilt trip you. It's a nice story opportunity.

I find that I can take stages around 2x my power with the right team/artifacts but you definitely should try to push to tier 8 gear since gear is the largest boost to your power
