It's gonna be interesting to see how they'll handle the game and marketing up to and after release. They've built up a large amount of goodwill over the past few weeks; are they gonna squander it by adding denuvo last minute? Hope not. More over, they have been kinda flaunting their engine since last year, which hints, at least to me, that they might want to compete against UE5. If they can prove their engine runs better than UE5, with most of the same technologies, though not photorealistic, they might be able to sell the usage of it as another source of income. Almost no one uses cry engine anymore, and UE5 needs a competitor badly. Denuvo and performance are my biggest worries.

So I've noticed a lot of anons treating the fact that Pearl Abyss' major project before this was a MMO as a net negative and evidence against CD being good. But I feel like the last few years we have seen a number of games straight from gacha devs that actually turned out pretty good, where they used the money printer gacha to crowfund the actually good and cool game. And I don't see why that same logic doesn't apply here. If they just wanted to profitmaxx they would make another freemium slop game not a full price vidya.
