The demo killed any excitement I had for this game. I almost dropped Nine Sols for this reason but the unskippable portions were shorter. I thought it would be a sleeper kino like Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure, because they both have old adventurers as protagonists. I was wrong. Even visual novels with slow beginnings didn't feel this grating

It's okay, a bit too janky right now, needs more time in the oven but feels like the dev is on the right track, demo is too short>SideEye HighDetective game where you have to go through a lot of clues and details, it requires a lot of reading and clicking through objects, not for people with short attention span>Super Alloy CrushMMX inspired game, the girl is the melee focused character while the boy is the gun focused one. The melee combat is way better than the ranged one.>Break ShootSnooker roguelike, same vein as Balatro. It's fun in short bursts>KnitewingsSpace Harrier clone, best demo i played so far. Play this if you haven't already>Akatori2D action platformer. Supposedly a metroidvania, but since the demo is split in 4 different sections it is hard to tell how interconnected the levels are. Also one of the better looking demos of the Fest>Ratcheteer DX2D Zelda clone.
