>Sharma introduced herself in an email to Xbox employees, where she outlined her vision for the brand going forward.
>"First, great games. Everything begins there," Sharma writes. "We must have great games beloved by players before we do anything. Unforgettable characters, stories that make us feel, innovative game play, and creative excellence. We will empower our studios, invest in iconic franchises, and back bold new ideas. We will take risks. We will enter new categories and markets where we can add real value, grounded in what players care about most."
>"Second, the return of Xbox. We will recommit to our core Xbox fans and players, those who have invested with us for the past 25 years, and to the developers who build the expansive universes and experiences that are embraced by players across the world," the email continues. "We will celebrate our roots with a renewed commitment to Xbox with the console which has shaped who we are. It connects ut to the players and fans who invest in Xbox, and to the developers who build ambitious experiences for it."
>"As monetisation and AI evolve and influence this future, we will not chase short-term efficiency or flood our ecosystem with soulless AI slop. Games are and always will be art, crafted by humans, and created with the most innovative technology provided by us," Sharma's email reads.

how many dicks do you guys think she's sucked?
>>
It's because "AI slop" doesn't exist to AI diehards.
>>
I don't find this bitch using the term "slop" to be endearing in the slightest. This screams of the damage control team trying their hardest to calm down the horde of people before they can react to the news. "Slop" is an extremely unprofessional term to use; I don't care that it is a real word, the context "she" is using it in is the colloquial slur context, and if she knew that she wouldn't have wrote it in her open letter, but she didn't write the shit anyway so fuck her.
I refuse to believe anyone mainly games on an Xbox anyway so who gives a shit that they're dying, just sell these IPs to a company that will actually do something with them.

Effective use of AI tools as part of workflows for creation, development, etc = regular, functioning people.
AI Slop (hey ChatGPT, make a picture where sandwiches fall from the sky! I'm not going to edit, touch up, refine or do anything to your draft output at all and post it everywhere like a masterpiece!)= Niggers

The sooner you understand this, the better off you'll be.

She's never been below a COO in her life and all of her companies have failed
She's an axeman, takes the fall for companies failing and collects a golden parachute out the door. This is the end of Xbox. Expect 50% layoffs by next year

I'm sorry to break it to you, but all ai generated "art" is inherently slop. In the same way that plastic jewelry is trash even if it looks "good" at a distance.

The only non trashy usecase I've seen for AI is having it explain technical concepts like in programming.

Having it actually "create" (copy stolen work) anything that would have otherwise required skill or creativity is fundamentally slop.

Especially how hard M$ pushes this shit to their own employees. The president of their Developer Division literally wrote in an internal memo that "using AI is no longer optional — it's core to every role and every level" before instructing managers to evaluate employee performance based on how much they use AI internally. Which is not necessarily a problem but I don't trust M$ a bit when in comes to the evaluation of what's slop and not. AI already writes minimum 30% of their code and they're looking to translate Windows to another language(s) (surprisingly with AI; their self-proclaimed goal is 1 million lines of code per engine per month), so talking about "soulless AI slop" while the company goes balls down with the technology sounds like a slippery slope. Everything in that mail sounds way too good to be true anyways, as if Phil himself was the the problem that prevented XBOX from performing as it should be.

I agree that if all you're doing is prompting a chatbot to make your stuff for you (what most non-artists do), then yeah. However, I feel using AI tools as part of your workflow is different. Anyone can just make a prompt and watch it generate something, but you can tell the people who storyboard, write, have experience with directing, know how to use digital tools specifically for art and creation even before AI tools became prominent (there is more than just ChatGPT out there contrary to the major mindset) will always have a leg up over the random shitposter who put in a prompt.

I remember when calling everything slop was mainly a thing on here. how does every term from this site end up just becoming basic, widely know terminology? who is doing this?
>>
hey xbox, why do you need to return? did something happen to your division recently?
>>
>>733473637
>who put in a prompt
to clarify, I mean a random generic prompt that someone who has no artistic abilities, acumen or even basic terminology and vision would generate even for drafting purposes would make.
>>
Why are women being put in roles of CEOs of these companies?
>>
>>733473727
I've been on 4chan since 2005 and every talking point, meme, or terminology here just becomes normal lexicon at some point
the twitter nigger threads you see cross-posted here are from people who feel like they're "part of the culture" of 4chan because they see some threads reposted over there days later but they don't actually live her so they don't know the actual culture

Well I mean, she worked with AI for years, she may know how bad it is with games, unlike game developers
>>
>>733473727
because 4chan isn't insular, it hasnt been for over a decade
surprise, when you constantly put the site out there on other social media and draw more and more attention eventually we just become another non-exclusive social media site for site hoppers to bounce around on reposting content for (you)s, likes, and updoots
i really hope you don't think OC is actually made on 4chan anymore, that's like buying American products lmao
>>
>>733477852
To be fair, she's not at all saying they won't use AI in development. Just that it won't be AI slop. There's a clear difference between the two, but people whose use of AI is basically just using ChatGPT, typing "make a tornado erupting blue lava" as their highest level prompt and running with that low level, untouched draft as their idea of a finished, masterpiece may have a harder time understanding.
