That's the fun part, Anon. They don't.I think I play like one game now (TF2) and it still feels like I no longer belong.I wish I could fix this but I have other things that feel more important to spend my time on than bing bing wahoos. Ultimately I think video games are built for children or adult children. I'm not saying I take life so seriously, but outside of gameplay I no longer enjoy, what is there for me? Most vidya stories are not compelling or well-written enough to hold my attention, at least not like a good book or something. The graphics do nothing for me now. I don't enjoy other multiplayer games all that much any more. It's usually filled with like 15-year-olds who have the time to devote all day to gitting gud at a game as opposed to me, who can only play after work.Dunno. I've begun to see giving up games as a hallmark of growth in a human. If someone says their favorite medium/media is a game, or a game X (like soundtrack) I just kinda pity them. Video games are the lowest form of entertainment if you're into media that has decent writing, soundtracks, etc. And no, video game sound tracks can't touch actual sincere musicianship from a ragtag group of musicians. The music itself stands only because the listener associates it with the gameplay.I hope one day you can all move on past video games and find more adult hobbies. I'm in friend groups with people in their 30s, some with wives and kids, and from how I see it playing together with them is equally fun, I can see myself doing the same when I reach that age.
