Please don’t be shit
>>733532458Ways it could be shit:>combat could feel bad>there might not be any memorable characters>npcs could feel MMO tier>there could be annoying inventory management like encumbrance aside from that it looks amazing
>>733532721I’m waiting for the previews next week. I want to see what they say about the combat. I’m not pre ordering and im going to wait until I see actual gameplay and impressions from reviewers that I trust. A lot of the footage looks great and im excited but i also know that it’s easy to deceive.
>>733532931Well lots of people have played it but they have changed some things since last year. Like before you used stamina for normal attacks but they removed that since people were getting filtered.Basically so far people say that the controls are unusual so there's a steep learning curve compared to most modern games and a very high skill ceiling. I just say it could feel bad since I haven't played it. I've noticed the game has some magnitism and maybe that feels bad or something, idk I think it'll be fi
>>733533158I read that they chilled out on the amount of buttons you need to press to do basic shit. Other than that I don’t mind some complexity for combat as long as you can master it without breaking your brain.
>>733533812I haven't seen anything concrete about that but the controls are weird because there's just so much. Basically it's a retard filter since there are so many abilities you can use at all times, but because controllers don't have that many buttons and they didn't build a system like DD, you'll have to memorize tons of shit and then press weird combos to do everything.Playing with KBM might be better but I'm personally happy since my gamepad has a bunch of extra buttons I can bind stuff to lol.But yeah basically you have your bow, magic attacks, equipped weapon, and wrestling moves all available at all times, and maybe even your item like the magical rope. So there are a lot of 1+1 button presses or buttons you have to hold or 1+1+1 presses to do other things. Then there are movement based contextual attacks, like when you do a grab it changes depending on your orientation to the enemy and the direction you were pulling the stick in. It sounds awesome to me.
>Made in KoreaNOPE. Those soulless fucks will never make a soulful game ever again like Ragnarok. It’s all downhill from here. Idk why but maybe their extremely superficial society has something to do with it.
these are like some of the basic attacks so it's pretty complex at a glance, but playing normally we'll probably learn them naturally like DMC or fighting game.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfL-rQSfMbQ
>>733532458Every video I've seen so far gives me UE5 slop vibes. I hope to be proven wrong, but I expect a disappointment.
>>733534460Yeah that actually does sound pretty good. Combine that with chaining elemental attacks too, im wondering how deep are they going to get with those powers though. Will we be able to bait an enemy to a puddle of water and electrocute them?
>>733535474It's their own engine and it's basically an upgraded version of the one they used for Black Desert.
>re9>cdGoing to be a good few weeks
>>733532458IT'S MADE BY THE GUYS WHO MADE BLACK DESERT AND YOU EXPECT QUALITY?!No way people are THIS retarded.
>>733533158I watched the gameplay of before the stamina change and it looked super slow and lame. Standing around doing nothing before your next press x to awesome. It was way slower than ER's stamina recharge
>>733535223That honestly doesn't look that bad and it does remind me of a fighting game. I hope they took time to make the keyboard controls not awful for the pc release.
>>733535223reminds me of ass creed ragnarok where there was some depth to the combat system but you ended up doing heavy attack spam coz heavy weapons broke stance easily when you used heavy attack and you were constantly getting swarmed with enemies
>>733540260games esp western gamers apply their learned experience to chinese games.ubisoft/bungie/epic games have trained people to expect iterative updates (coz that's cheap to do and gamers will accept it). they even take pride in it and tell fellow western devs to do the least iteration possible in game dev conferences.we are LONG overdue for industry shakeup

Games
Played the game already. Only got to play two small combat segments, a battle and a boss.Combat is very fun. It's complicated, but really good. One of the better combat systems I've played. Shitters will probably hate it or get filtered hard.Based on that alone, I am buying it. I just hope the story, quests and world is fun too.

>>733545124Nice. Anything else stood out to you?
>>733545305Unfortunately didn't get to play long. Barely even long enough to do each unique segment. When I went around watching others though, I came to the conclusion that combat will be upsetting for shitters. There were a lot of people struggling.
>>733545429Sounds promising thanks anon.
>>733545042a few people played it at public events the next one is next week when they fly out journalist to play
