I've played it a bit (enough to get to the cloud world), my daughter really loves it though. Its probably the ideal game for young children, you cannot die you just run around the island

I enjoy it. It's a daily collection sort of game. Basically it's like doing your daily chores in animal crossing, but with slightly more engaged gameplay. If your girlfriend doesn't play an MMO she'll probably get hooked.
