Like 80% of mage runs I get absorb but this time I prepared with running jab (attack an in range enemy after movement) and iron head (move and get shield) and got Magic Missile (unlimited range basic attack). should be able to get 4/5 pops off a turn now from movement alone.

Uranium Rod is a weapon that gives you -6 vitality and if you end a fight downed you get a random mutation so you run it on a cat with Play Dead and go to town.

Cancer is a trinket that gives a random mutation at the end of every fight and -1 to two random stats.

Pretty sure Rod is hard path of Alley and Cancer is in the Graveyard pool but that's going off memory.

It's a lot easier to pick up and play an Isaac run and Isaac runs are about a quarter of the length of a solid full Mewgenics run. I think both have their niches but overall I feel Mewgenics is the much more cohesive game.
Danny Baranowsky's soundtrack is much more palatable and interesting to me though, I don't give a damn if it sounds like just "video game music".

I pirated the game, so this doesn't affect me in any way, but does this mean that if you are incredibly unlucky and get two power outages in one run, you lose out on the ability to get an achievement? Because that's fucking hilarious.

At that point, if you get one power outage, then immediately go back and lose on purpose on that very combat as fast as possible.

Mage spells are insane on crossbreeds. The reward in mages seems to be breeding down their skills to other classes. They also don't have their magic damage affected by stat drops, so even at minimal or negative stats, you can still have something to defend yourself with or run away. This imo makes them S tier fot cancer runs. Especially since if the get insanely crippled by negative stats, your other 3 cats should still be enough to get through runs.

I got bird seed very early on and am just now realizing that's why I was so stacked with god tier items and am now currently in a death spiral and an item drought.

The only thing mages have for themselves is like doublecasting Mega Blast+ if you can get the MP for it turn one, and Surf+ with some knockback synergies
