>game has no save or load feature, making every decision meaningful and making winning satisfying
>>733625384just go outside and find real challenges, anon. Stop trying to find fulfilment in video games even as your interest in them rapidly wanes like a heroin addict desperately trying to find a good vein

sex with goth breasts
You know how people do multiple playthroughs well fuck that. In games like fallout new vegas for instance sometimes if I'm not happy with how a conversation pans out I'll just reload and pick a different line or I'll kill a character to see what would happen. I'm right there I can enjoy the content immediately and reload as I wish to fuck around. I'm not replaying the game I'll look up the alternate ending on youtube bro there's enough other games, books and TV and irl shit to do
>>733626962>I'll just reload and pick a different lineDoesn't that cheapen the experience though? Not sure if I'm using the right word or am conveying this properly, but I think the experience is very different when you can simply save and reload. For example in Dark Souls 1, there is a questline where you have to keep this NPC character alive. In one of my runs, there was a tense moment where he got eaten and I'm locked out of it for that playthrough. When gameplay has consequences, it makes you play more carefully and is also more rewarding when you succeed. If I could just save and reload at anytime that would kill any of the satisfying moments I could have had. In Spelunky if I can just save and reload once I have the cape and shotgun and keep infinitely retrying from a convenient save spot, it would just kill the fun of the game and also impede on me getting good by honing myself through the obstacles. I think saving is good for some specific games, but also robs players of better experiences in specific other games too.

>>733625384I will play the MGS4 and 5 when someone hacks in savestates.
>>733627994>Doesn't that cheapen the experience though? Not in the slightest
>>733625384Who?
>>733634706I think it does, because I think back on the most satisfying moments I've had playing games. I had to really get good and concentrate and learn and become consistent to achieve those. And if I could just save and reload at a convenient spot for 1/3 the effort it just wouldn't be the same experience. I think the Souls series are horribly overrated but I like that the game autosaves and doesn't let you undo any mistakes with the questlines. I also like many of the games like Gungeon and Spelunky where every decision is an actual important matter that designates how your run will go, and losing is devastating, while winning feels great. As opposed to games where just save and reload.
