It's a movie that was making the best of a bad situation. Joe Dante wanted to make a classic Looney Tunes movie, and he had to fight off Warner executives the entire way through, explaining to them why it would suck to add in a scene with Bugs rapping (which that abortion Space Jam 2 actually did).
