DS > PSP and it wasn't even close.The PSP had a lot of good and original games, but it really couldn't compete with the DS. It was kind of the opposite of the PS2/Gamecube situation, where one system had a bunch of good games, but it just couldn't fight against the competition of backwards compatibility and everybody putting games on the system. Also like PS2 vs Gamecube, the losing system (PSP) had a proprietary disc system that made it a hassle for developers to bother with.These days, there's still good original games on both, but I still prefer my DS over my PSP. There's just more DS content and even a few things on DS that I can use which aren't technically games, while the PSP is mostly just a portable emulation device.

It just had a lot less games that weren't ports better played elsewhere or movie tie in games that sucked major ass. DS simply had so many games you're bound to get a mountain of bangers from every dev imaginable. Even the Lumines dev that makes a game per decade or something made meteos on the DS and its fucking amazing. Tons of hidden gems also. This is a PS2 vs GC situation. The bigger Library usually wins.
