You guys have been telling me this gonna be the year of Linux gaming for the past 10 years. And it didn't happen.
>windows 13 or whatever is AIslop>linux has compatibility issues with half of gamesa lose-lose
>>733633718it's less of a "linux gaming" year and more of a "for how much longer will you be able to tolerate microsoft's bullshit" kind of year
>>733633718It's literally the year of Linux volume 5 now.If you're still denying it, then you're just retarded.
It happened but you blinked and missed it.There it goes again!
>>733633718Steam Deck is the closest linux gaming will get to becoming mainstream and it's sales are still pathetic compared to Xbox, Playstation, and Switch 2.
>>733633718This is the year of linux gamingI'm pretty sure linux can play at least one game
>>733634182Lobby's up bros
>>733634140>not a single ad>not available in a single physical store>still sold millions>produced dedicated fans and communitiesYeah huge failure lmao
>>733634223tuxbro
>>733633870>linux has compatibility issues with half of gamesits not 2019 anymore
>>733634456my bad chief! i'm sure you got it down to 40% of games then?
>>733634620Even protondbs stats show this but even this is underselling it because A LOT of more obscure games got a silver or gold rating years ago but have just werked for ages and simply no one has written a report since.Outside of playing AAA multiplayer slop like CoD, you're basically gonna be fine. I've been on linux for 4 years and haven't had to play anything on Windows at all. The only thing you might run into is with AAA games, sometimes for the first few days of release it might be fucked up or something but even this has only happened to me once.
kde fucking sucks donkey balls if you have multiple monitors or a TV you always switch back-and-forth to, is gnome better
>>733633718>please smoke 200 cigarettesWas Hank retarded?
>>733634830Gnome has always been better. But we don't say that here, because we use KDE as bait for all these windows baby ducks.
>>733634830What's bad about it? I don't use KDE but interested in the problem.
>>733634858Season 1 Hank was just very stubborn in his ways. It feels like a way his dad Cotton would've punished him as a child and he's just repeating the cycle with Bobby. This is before he had the courage to really stand up against his dad being an asshole, even in the episode earlier that introduces Cotton, Hank defends him a ton.
>>733633718Microjeets will eventually make you switch regardless of what you want
>>733634830I use it all the time, what is bad about it?>>733635019>Gnome has always been betterIf you come from an iphone ecosystem, sure
>>733633718I jump ship this year. Currently running Linux mint and gayiming on Steam just like on windows.
>>733635092>>733635435I have 3 monitors on my desk and 1 TV in the living area, set up a script to switch between desktop and TV and it works well enough provided they're all turned on. If the TV is on standby mode or if for whatever reason one of the monitors isn't detected then none of the displays get turned on and I have to unplug whichever one is causing the issue for it to light the remaining ones back up. Also I'm not sure if its because I have one portrait monitor but plasma just doesn't show up sometimes.
>>733635498>Currently running Linux mintgrim
>>733635771It just werks
>>733635834Yeah but Ubuntu is better in every single way.>b-but snaps!Just uninstall them
>>733634830KDE is much better than gnome unless you have a touch screen
>>733635887Again, it just works. mint has everything I need for gaming, video editing, coding, file storage. +it's close enough to the microsoft echosystem so it was piss easy to transfer from Windows immediately. No complaints.>b-but u-ubu-Again, I have literally no reason to switch over.
>>733635834If it werks, dont listen to distrofagsIf you get stuck needing newer drivers/software, swap to something arch basedIt really is that easy
>>733635986Yea, you're right.You win.
