True ending was pretty shitty. I rushed through the boring love story thinking the other characters would get endings that are just as involved, but avi's endings felt like afterthoughts, and the wife felt like she didn't even get an ending at all.

Not reading this thread because I'm not finished yet (hopefully today), but they should have really made doing the foreigner's pre-Kameshima story mandatory before you could push the first two stories to the end because we go from happening to tourism shilling (way more blatant that in the first one). Most of what is discussed barely seems to be relevant and we just get flooded with a bunch of Japanese history. I don't usually still sections in stories but that was one of them. Thankfully it wasn't overly long, but it tanked the pacing quite a bit.

The second half is just more like a detective mystery which is more like what the second game is. But its just not as good as the first part of the first game which is still definitely worth playing
