It will take you 975 hours to finish the 13 games to catch up to the latest. In that time you could be doing:>Every episode of One Piece = 440 hours>Every episode of Naruto = 275 hours>Every episode of Bleach = 164 hoursAnd still have 100 hours to spare for Kiseki.
The games.
i'm waiting for sky 2nd and 3rd remakes
>>733635864>demakesJust play the originals
>>733635719It's more like ~600 hours. Even then, the only two really massive slogs are CS3 and 4
>>733635719I've already finished Sky FC (remake), Sky SC and Sky the 3rd. Playing Zero now.>mfw Estelle and Joshua's new character portraits in Zero
>>733635719and then you get past the first 3 games and its irredeemable dogshit
cold steel 4 might be the worst video game ive ever finished and i cannot imagine still going forward with this trash after it
>>733636314The first seven games are okay.Cold Steel III is where things start to go wrong.
Brevity is the soul of wit.
>>733636314>zero and azure are irredeemable dogshitGet a load of this justice friendship fistbump deficient loser
>>733635719I've been eyeing the trails 1st remake but it seems like a rather childish series.. idk might still tr it out. Wanted to try either trails 1st, metaphor (persona I did not like) or dq11
>>733635719>Watching One Piecetop kek
>>733635719You're supposed to stop after Sky.
>>733637774Zero and Azure are good, CS I and II are good, Daybreak and Horizon are good.Prove me wrong, you won't
>>733637840I objectively can't prove you wrong, because I couldn't finish CS1. For all I know, I could've stopped right before it finally turned into pure gold and I'll never know because I was fucking done. I doubt it's the case, but it's not possible for me to know.
For me, it's Towa.
>>733635719you're already doing it wrong if you're thinking about "catching up" at all. why would you want to do that? you'll only get burned out. there's no need to rush, just play them at your own pace and enjoy the journey.
You can skip Trails the 3rd and Trails into Reverie. They are not traditionally structured Trails games and they don’t do much to improve or advance the plot.
>muh catching upPLAY THE GAMESDon't like them, don't continue.
>>733635719Your pic makes a false assumption.
>>733635719Why would you even bother if you aren't interested in the very act of playing the games?
>>733635719Trails hasnt been good since Azure
>>733635719All that time and nothing ever happens in the games, it's incredible actually
>>733635719So incredibly based then?
>>733635719This is the main reason I would never, ever recommend this series to anyone. Tbqh I wish I just dropped the series after ao.
>>733641167sky 3rd is literally the setup to the next 6 games and reverie is the setup to the current arc (last 3 games). if you're willing to skip any of the entries there is no point in starting the series in the first place.
Are these games all one continuous story? Or is it like final fantasy? And if it is was story, what’s the gist of the plot?
>>733646175>Are these games all one continuous story?yes>what’s the gist of the plot?haha...
>>733645364Not true, I enjoyed the series immensely despite skipping both Reverie and the entire Sky trilogy.
>>733646175>Are these games all one continuous story?Technically yes>what’s the gist of the plot? There is a shadowy organization with nebulous goals who shows up, fights at 1% of their true power, acts like losing was part of their plan, and then leaves
Trails is fun
>>733646175>And if it is was story, what’s the gist of the plot? It's Hell on Earth. A goddess appears, gathers as many humans as possible, and creates a pocket dimension for everyone to hide in. Then she (mostly) fucks off and gives her worldbuilding tools to humanity, who proceed to not use them properly, and all civilization collapses. 1200-ish years later, civilization has recovered to industrial-era, when said worldbuilding tools start to resurface and a shadowy organization plans to do Something Probably Not Good with them. A variety of heroes from various nations have to navigate a political minefield and save the day. Also sometimes bits of Hell on Earth leak in and cause trouble. The whole story across 13 games takes place over a little under a decade, so you get to see the characters grow up over time. And the story's not done yet.
>>733636595The point is that it covers interactions between geographically close countries as seen by their citizens. It takes several games to even get that far since they can focus on different groups of people in different places. Clearly, you'll start to see Fantasy Japan, America and whatever else. It's interesting from that perspective.
>>733641167none of the games does anything to improve or advance the plot
>>733641212This, the assumption that I wanna play any of the dog shit past Azure at all.
>>733646747You can also skip Lord of the Rings 1 and watch the other ones if you love missing important things you'd like.
>>733635719Trails of Subhumans
>>733650424You already played Azure though...
