how could you make phone gaming great without forcing you to buy any third party peripherals?

You can't

phone gaming can't be anything other than touchshit without some kind of controller. Having the controls on the screen just gets in the way

Games that uses touch screen and motion sensors as main control methods. Like, Cut the Rope, Angry Birds, Doodle Jump.

Xperia Play likes, these will be becoming more popular in the next few years.

Put keypads back on phones

Maybe something like TWEWY, but I can't imagine playing even TWEWY without a stylus.
>>
Anything tactical and turn based works fine, I got Final Fantasy Tactics and Slay The Spire on my phone
Needs to work natively though, even simple jrpg menu gameplay feels like ass on an emulated controller
Anything action oriented is a no-go as well, anything sufficiently complex to be fun will have the drawback of fingers thumbs covering the tiny screen and the phone will be uncomfortable to hold

you simply can't make a good touchpad / motion controller game. motion controls and touch interfaces require the user to look at the buttons to press them. actual buttons and triggers and dials and switches don't ever have to be looked at to use and in some cases even once. A good game doesn't require the user to look at buttons or look up what those buttons do, they simply press buttons and controls are completely intuitive

By inventing an app that stabs phone phaggots in their scrotal region when they start gaymin' on their phone.

1) You stop playing horizontal and go gameboy mode, so your FUCKING THUMBS AREN'T IN THE WAY OF YOUR VIEW

2) you avoid games where you have to "hold down button to run", so you don't play Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong, but you do play Super Tux and Banjo Kazooie

3) You get an anti-glare screen protector. You don't do this because of glare: you do this so the screen feels like paper to the touch and you feel good while playing.

You do these and the phone feels like a gameboy with a good analog stick.
Step 1 is the most important: abandon your retarded Gameboy Advance/Switch caveman instinct and embrace Gameboy Color aryanism

Assigning actions to tilt and position. Shake and fast move doing something different sometimes.

Some tactics/gambits like FFXII and dragon age so you do something you specified in certain situations and times.

Games with affine and nearest neighbour, upscaled from very low resolutions.

About exploration. Fast in and fast out, automatically saving. Some non repetitive textures/pictures for towns at least. Good dialogue in readout that goes off your face or you reading it out. Different based on how you say it and express. Can say the opposite of something based on how you say it. What you want them to do different. Like cease being as they are, they bad. Nodding, shaking your head, flirting.

Enforced human/ideal proportions. No animu. Good standard voices like regular. Your choosing to who the love interest, you etc sound like.

Modular. Can make it look as you please downloading different modules. Using higher res of phones differently.

Cheap glasses/goggles so phone is a 3D head mounted display. Use the cameras for eye tracking and to map out surroundings as 3D. And to orient head and body and put your hands and body in game.

Scan your face. Socialise. Unmasking without the ability to be recorded. Save friendships. Meet new people in hubs like (PS) Home. Change your characters as you please, even your friends maybe. Share how you see them improved.

Make somewhere for AI to be engaged with in a nicer way, part of the adventure and people.

Select who you want to see and at least see others that way if not meet others as such.

Have a bank for shared processing and storage/money, where other players can use your specs to do your wishes or just have a better experience, travel and meet you. Know your likes, how to be like what you like.

AI assessment of what you are deficient in to get along, succeed and survive in your local environment and the times.

Training to be capable in doing what is required to ensure the continued enjoyable existence o

You can't dumbass
Best you can do is just buy the steam controller when it comes out and wait for valve to colonise the mobile wasteland

wow great refutation, you sound like you belonged in AAA video game development for manhattan project tier game development like concord
>>
>>733637702
You can't. Doing gaming/music/movies/camera on your phone is for poorfags and it will always be the inferior way to do things.
