Thanks a bunch, I'm thinking about trying a lawfull archeologist next to finally get that Grayswandir and see whats so good about it (lost 3 wishes for it and still didn't get it)

Try a barb (powerfull early game) its why I only played this, because I can kill anything early game and Eat it.

A gnomish valkirie would be better but doesnt sound fun (for me)

Turist seems fun, but I die too quickly and I dont like the no mele weapons early game

I beat Nethack as a Priest and then a Barbarian but I used the wiki extensively. FUCK mindflayers man

Yes fuck them, especilally since you need 2 uncursed scrolls of genocide for them or you get fucked late game,

I'd Geno sea creatures (;) on plane of water late game

I've been meaning to make a nethack like with D&D 3..5e rules a la Incursion Halls of the Goblin King, but with more interactions, and easier to mod loading external assets and stuff.
I suck at these kinds of games but I love them.
