I was re-playing Far Cry 3 with my 4yo daughter sitting next to me most of the time. She could handle most of scenes as if she was 10. Intro, knife fight with Buck, Vaas' insanity monologue, getting out from pile of corpses - she usually just said she's afraid and she snuggled into me.

Hoyt Volker worked different. Each scene was building up and when he finally stabbed Sam in the neck during poker match, shit hit the fan - my daughter started screaming and crying like crazy. She covered her eyes with her hands and didn't stop until Jason killed Hoyt. Even after, she was shacking for like 15 minutes. Honestly, there are very few scenes in any game, that triggered such reaction.

Yes, Vaas is a face of Far Cry 3 (maybe even entire Far Cry series), but in vivo testing proved that it's actually Hoyt Volker that is ultimate Far Cry villain.

It's not bait at all. I scored. I have a kid. I still play same video games. Kid is interested in video games as well.
